Shimekazari wreaths are hung near doorways or entrances during the New Year to ward off evil spirits.  Made from braided cotton rope and adorned with various natural and artificial elements. Every shimenawa comes with a polymer clay kagami mochi ornament, which welcomes good fortune for the coming year.
